  On October 24th 2005, there will be a conference call between Dr. Helen Caldicott and the Backbone Campaign which nominated her into the Department of Energy and the Department of Peace of 'The Backbone Cabinet'.


  Dr. Caldicott is the Founder and President of the Nuclear Policy Research Institute (www.nuclearpolicy.org).  Dr. Caldicott is a renowned author, lecturer, and physician, she has led a worldwide movement to end the nuclear age for the past thirty-five years. She is the Founding President of Physician for Social Responsibility and Women's Action for Nuclear Disarmament. She is the author of numerous books exploring nuclear and environmental issues, the most recent is Why Nuclear Power is NOT the Answer to Global Warming (or anything else), which will be available in May 2006 from The New Press.
