Re: Meeting @ Lady of Guadeloupe Church

There has been informal discussion on what should be the next step
following Friday's demonstration at the Israeli consulate. The consensus
seems to be that there is a need to have a town hall meeting.....a time and
place where people can come together to voice their concerns about events
in Palestine and Lebanon while politicians LISTEN.

In discussing the location for the meeting, there seems to be agreement
that Our Lady of Guadeloupe Church (Catholic Church on Navigation) is the
best venue. This church was the center of organizing for the recent
immigrant rights marches in Houston. More importantly they have great
historical importance for the fight for all human rights. The extensive
coverage by the Hispanic press tells me that our brothers and sisters in
the barrio support the struggle of the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

Father Gray has agreed to met to discuss the possibility of having the town
hall meeting at his church. If you would like to join us on Thursday
afternoon, let me know. Please know that you need not attend to have a
voice in how this town hall meeting will be organized. We want everyone to
come together to share ideas on how to make this successful.
