Let's set the record straight: Chris Bell was the one who started the negative remarks. Less than a week before Gammage declared his candidacy, the Bell Campaign called him a "cut-and-shoot coward". They have also claimed that he is only in the race for personal interests and is running an anti-choice, anti-minimum wage increase campaign. This is all false and biased rubbish that just goes to show how insecure and desperate the Bell Campaign really is.
The truth is that Chris Bell is a Republican Lite, superficial, tuxedo-wearing centrist who has no backbone when it comes to standing up for the issues that progressives care about about. Bell is offering a moderate, Bushite platform that fails to tackle the roots of progressive issues and he has been unsuccessful in exciting the Democratic base.
Bob Gammage is a strong leader with the expericence to run a spirited and worthy campaign. He has already garnered so much support and momentum; in 2 months the Gammage campaign has done what the Bell Campaign could not do in almost a year. Gammage is a populist Democrat with a lot courage and determination. He is NOT afraid to nail down Perry and his crownies and he will fight the dirty Republicans in a fierce fashion. Chris Bell is unexciting and ineffective. Bob Gammage is dynamic, blunt, and dedicated to getting out the vote through an efficient, grassroots campaign. Bob Gammage has been endorsed by the Houston GLBT Political Caucus, City Councilwoman Sue Lovell, State Rep. Senfronia Thompson, and the Austin Lesbian & Gay Political Caucus. This indicates that Bob Gammage is offering a solid, progressive platform and will be an enterprising innovator and a strong messenger for Texas Democrats and Texas Progressives. I strongly support Bob Gammage for Texas Governor, because he is
a progressive populist with lots of vigor and he gives a damn to talk the talk and walk the walk.
It's up to you: Chris Bell, A lackluster centrist
OR
Bob Gammage, a fiery populist
Thanks and have a good evening,
