I want to give a giant THANK YOU to all of you who helped in this
election. I know there were a lot of you doing a lot of things, and
I really do appreciate it.

Thanks so much to all of you who helped progressive candidates (and
protecting elections) with:
- block walking & passing out flyers at events
- talking with your friends and co-workers
- making phone calls for get-out-the-vote (GOTV)
- putting out yard signs & bigger signs
- helping with candidates' campaign planning/organizing
- calling in to radio stations
- hosting parties for candidates
- showing movies about Iraq, stolen elections, and other issues
- serving as an election judge, alternate judge, or clerk on election day
- serving as a poll watcher at the polls or at one of the remote
counting stations
- serving on the Early Voting Ballot Board
- working for election protection
- donating time for other activities to help candidates
- donating money
- and all the other things that I know so many of you did

I sincerely appreciate it, and I know our candidates do, too,
although I'm sure they are all very exhausted today (as I'm sure many
of you are, too).

I'm proud to have worked for some wonderful candidates in this
election (who lost), and I would not hesitate to help them again.

I was disappointed in the state-wide election results and with many
here in the Houston area, although we did win several important
races. Sometimes we lose the battle but win the war, and with the
mainstream media pushing so hard to keep people in the dark and
working to preserve the status quo, it's important to remember that
we are making progress in reaching people with the truth, even when a
majority of them vote the wrong way (or when Hart
Intercivic/Diebold/ES&S say it's a majority).

I'll send another note or two about hacking our elections and about
lack of a coherent message and coordination from the Dem. party
"leadership" and maybe what we should do about that. But for now, I
especially want to THANK YOU again for all you did. We DID achieve
some great things with your help, and the losses would have been
worse without your help.

At our monthly PAA meeting Thursday evening, we'll discuss the
elections and what to do next. I smell impeachment in the air....

Bill
