I just want to thank Jim Rine for organizing our march in the parade today.
It was an amazingly uplifting event. I was so surprised at the thousands of
people at this parade, and how well Vets for Peace and MFSO were received.
I would estimate that easily eighty per cent of the people supported us.
They cheered, saluted and gave us the peace sign. Two people in uniform joined
Vets for Peace and marched with them.

I was steeling myself to be cursed and have thing thrown at us. There was
some negative response, but nothing like I was expecting.

I think this really shows how the tide is turning about the war. We've got
to keep up the pressure!

Thank you Jim, this was such a good idea and a wonderful way to get our
organizations names and ideas out to thousands of people. I think it was a good
idea to limit the signs to support for soldiers, their benefits, Vets, DU,
and getting out of Iraq. It kept the focus of getting out of Iraq, the
injustices of the war, and still allowed people to celebrate Veterans Day.

Also, a special thanks to Hank Woji for showing up with his drum and
marching with us!

Mikal
