This is a very informative and heartfelt article by Daniel Ellsberg. Please
read it all the way through to the end. I wonder sometimes when someone
enters politics if he/she has to be a sociopath to do it, an idealist who
wishes to change the world for the better or a complete lunatic. It seems
that no matter how righteous or moral a person is upon entering public
office, he or she is invariably corrupted by the whole experience. It's a
sad state of affairs that someone in government has more loyalty to his or
her office, boss, secrecy statements etc than to the whole of the American
people. Why must people always have to die before anything is done?! I also
wonder if someone within the Bush government was to leak classified
documents who or what media source would report on these documents? Other
than Pacifica radio, are there ANY reputable media sources out there that
would report these findings to the American people? Most of our television,
radio and print media are bought and paid for by corporations. This thought
bugs the hell out of me.
Kris
