Hmmm - I hope they have your membership for this year, Brenda, and that 
you get your ballot. 

As for the rest, it actually gives me hope.

1.  The KPFT elections supervisor responded immediately.  (I don't mean 
this to sound like I thought she wouldn't - Tucker rocks in this 
position.  I mean it to sound like the other Pacifica stations' 
elections supervisors  might not have responded this quickly, had access 
to the database to find out what was up, etc.)

2.  As for gift memberships, this is totally intentional.  It would be 
too easy for the evangelists or whoever to seize control of the board if 
we allowed gift memberships to vote.

THING IS, I will wager that only our station is even keeping track of 
this.  I would like to find out about the rest of them.  Brenda, is it 
ok if I forward your and Tucker's conversation to the national elections 
committee?
