It has been suggested by some LSB members that comments and evaluations about KPFT programs should not be made public.
I have provided the feedback of what I received after doing a program on KPFT and my response to that feedback.
Please read and decide if this information is to be kept secret and not available to those that fund KPFT.........................
...........And vote accordingly.

Thanks for the program.
I thoroughly enjoyed the ideas; there was a lot of information provided & you obviously prepared.
I am glad that Carole was there to provide another voice. If you had to do it over again, I would suggest that she throw questions at you, with much less reading, as nothing sounded spontaneous.
I heard the comment at the end that you had 5 minutes to fill- you were on the mic. This would be improved with experience. Perhaps having appropriate music ready or extra material(in case you run short on time).
Station ID's were good. I did not hear reference to website for archives at the end, but mentioning them at the beginning was useful. It would be more useful at the end, in case a listener joined mid-program, but they would probably know to call the station.
Appreciation expressed to engineer was good. Getting information out to audience in advance was much appreciated. I hope that others spread the word too.
Perhaps some humor would have been good, or questioning Paul's comments or a little bit more of a dialogue-- would have changed the pace and jolted the audience a little.
Perhaps I missed references to standard texts to read on "truthiness" concept or other reference materials. I did hear one book mentioned. Sometimes repetition is useful. Anecdotes, parables or short stories of how information can impact a person's life can help people see relevance, usefulness, ownership or help listener determine that he/she can make change from an example(just as someone else made change in a story).
Referring to idea from previous week's show is good-- gives credibility to other programmer, demonstrates that other shows are worth listening to & indicates that we build knowledge upon other knowledge.
Thanks so much for your effort,
Teresa

Hello Teresa,
Thanks and we agree with your comments.
Sorry, we can't take offense at your note, as we too were and are aware.
I allowed my self to be distracted when I discovered, about 7:30 pm Monday evening, that the show was not scheduled for the 12th. My bad.
Unfortunately I lost focus and for about 12 hours, at least four hours of sleep and eight hours of preparation time, that I scheduled and was needed and aimed at correcting some of those anticipated concerns.
Most of my preparation time was getting the facts straight, fitting them where they belonged and then cutting to fit the time. I needed cut more to allow for what you suggest below. I needed more time to cut more volume of information.
It is one thing to have all that information in your head, it is another to put it and the factual backup in a form that can not only be understood, but appreciated by the audience.
I wanted to distill down to just notes and paraphrasing of quotes rather that reading the entire quote. Until I got to that point, which I didn't, the latest script was my security blanket. Those eight hour would have mad a significant difference.
Carole didn't ask many questions because there was an known time problem and she knew I did not sleep and was not at my best mentally, as evidenced by not being able to tell we had five minutes more than I believed at the time.
Throughout I mentioned books and at the end I mentioned the titles and authors of five of six books that were used.
Had several stories, but there wasn't time. Actually the Gandhi story is a anecdotes.
Actually we mention two other shows and provided a quote from another, could have mentioned one other.
I read five new books, reviewed four others and reviewed hundreds of articles on these subjects.
Like anything new, the time one believes is enough, isn't.
Everyone seems to have thoughts and yours was doing something on Israel when you first contacted me about this. We did touch on it, although to a lesser degree that I would have liked. My focus is programming that goes beyond what is happening and seeks to explore the actual causes by looking at the legitimate grievances.
Do you consider the programming on Israel on done deal and what is the position of you and station management about more focus on actual root causes of conflicts? And if there is interest, how to do?
Thanks, appreciate you listening and taking the time for feedback.
Paul
