[PAA-Discuss] Michael Berry and ....

Yesterday I suggested that there were some lessons that might be learned from the Tuesday adventure at City Council.

I suggest that if any that read this and have the chance to listen or roll the video tape of the oratory and at the same time put yourself the Mr. Berry's shoes, I believe you too would believe that some came to "call me names." This suggestion does not go so far as to support any of Mr. Berry's positions, but what do I know? I don't know a berry from a miller.

But debate is good and it can be fun, if there is no name calling.

Just minutes ago, Michael Berry on his AM radio show grossly distorted the intervention of the City Hall on the issue of "Freedom of Speech on the Freeway". He said I don't care if they come here and "call me names". After I heard that, the idea of a debate came to my mind. I remember one time in our KPFT Outreach Committee meeting, Bill had suggested that we should challenge the right wing radio host to a debate on the different issues. I think this is the best time for that. Let's challenge Michael Berry to a debate on this issue. We can have two rounds of debate, one on his show and one on KPFT "Open Journal". Or we can have a live debate that can be broadcast simultaneously on both KPFT and KPRC.
