If this information is correct then Representative Kucinich is ABDICATING
his responsibility as a representative of the people to investigate the
event that changed democracy as we know it. The 9-11 attack was the catalyst
for everything that has happened since that day, and none of it is good. I
would like to know if Kucinich is more loyal to the Democratic Party and his
position in Washington, D.C. than he is to the American people whom he works
for and claims to represent.

By the way, Margaret, don't EVER be afraid that someone is going to get
angry about something you post. Who gives a shit if they get angry or not?
If we can't discuss controversial issues on this discussion list then it's
not much of a list, is it? You can't go around worrying all the time that
something you say or do is going to rub somebody the wrong way. If it does
they can either get over it or don't get over it. Who cares?

It was great seeing you last night. Let's try to get together again really
soon.

Love,

Kris

Prior to his re-election to Congress last November Rep. Kucinich mentioned
"9/11" on his own website as one of the areas that needed to be investigated
by a new Congress exercising its power and responsibility of oversight; in
fact it was first on a long list. Well, it now appears he is not planning to
walk his talk...unless of course he hears from enough of you to make him
change course. Not a half hour ago, I hung up the phone after talking with
Mr. Auke Mahar Piersma, the Representative' s Communications Director. After
identifying myself as Director of 9/11 CitizensWatch and briefly describing
my efforts to bring the case for hearings to the attention of his boss, he
told told me that his offices' priorities had been set, that 9/11 "is past"
and that it was not on their list of priorities. Nor would it be in his
capacity as the newly appointed Chairman of a new Subcommittee of the House
Committee on Oversight & Government Reform.
