The Gold Star families are in support of this bill.  It is almost exactly what we have been asking our Reps to do for a long time!   Lee, you were not wishing.  There is something in it about reparations in Iraq, though I have not read the whole thing yet so I am not sure exactly what they are proposing along those lines.

  Sheila Jackson-Lee has signed this bill. It calls for bringing the troups home in 6 months, which makes the Troops home by July 4 cry on target. When Lynn Woolsey read this on Progressive Forum tonight I thought she mentioned some kind of reparationss to Iraqis but it is not in the list from the bill printed here. I must have been wishing. Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee and Maxine Waters introduced H.R. 508: The Bring the Troops Home and Iraq Sovereignty Restoration Act, taking up the President's challenge to come up with a plan for Iraq.  Thirteen additional members have already signed on as co-sponsors.  The bill would bring our troops home in six months.

              It's up to PDA activists to spread the word - to friends, relatives, co-workers, other activists.and to media of every type, including independent blogs and websites. H. R 508 is a concrete plan - not just a symbolic, non-binding resolution - that progressives and Democrats can rally around.
