[PAA-Discuss] Fwd: Notes and Kickoff for Comic/EnhancedBlogging/Billboard Group - June 2

There was a meeting yesterday (Saturday) titled "The Summer of Our  
Discontent" in which about 30 or 40 people from various groups did some  brainstorming 
about how to continue and increase the momentum of the impeachment  movement. 
We agreed on 4 or 5 topics that everyone thought  were important, and then 
broke up into subgroups (one to discuss each  topic) with each individual joining 
the subgroup discussing the topic they  thought most important. Then later we 
reconvened the entire group and a  spokesperson gave a summary report on the 
discussions of each subgroup. (Hope  that is reasonably clear)
 
Anyway the group I was in (see subject line of this email above)  decided we 
would continue our discussions by email and meet again at a  later date - 
tentatively on June 28th which is the 4th Thursday of this month -  the regular 
meeting date and time of the old Impeachment meetup group (see  details in email 
from Christine Morshedi, our subgroup spokesperson, forwarded  below). We 
decided that just this once, we would forward this to the PAA and  impeachment 
listserves to let everyone know what we did and give anyone who  might be 
interested in joining us an opportunity to do so by contacting  Christine to be put 
on our working email list. Don't worry - we will not put all  our future 
correspondence on those lists and cover you up with stuff -  we're just doing it 
this once.
 
And to follow up with my charge to contact the people who put up the "end  
the Iraq war" billboards, I worked with Cheryl, got a name and address, and have 
 sent a detailed letter to them to explain what we are doing and try to 
establish  contact. I thought that might be more effective than leaving a message 
on a  telephone recorder. Will advise when and if I get a response.
