[PAA-Discuss] FLICKS: What I sense as consensus for late March movie

Okay, gang, there has been a lot of clamor for "Who Killed the Electric
Car" so I reckon that is at the top of the list.

(BTW, I not only back off from but apologize for my negative comment
about double headers. All I really meant to say is that I prefer to have
time to visit face to face in the light with folks, rather than sitting
more or less alone staring at a screen. We do share the experience, I
suppose. But I think that two movies, back-to-back, is a long time in
the dark. Unless you're in a balcony or in a car with someone you love!@)

So, the movie I have seen mentioned second most often that could
accompany this is "Taken for a Ride" but I forget who has it. (Someone
also mentioned "End of Suburbia" which I have, but I think it has been
seen by many of us, and I do not know about permission.)

I gather that Randy has "Who Killed" and I seem to recall that he said
it is a copy OK to show, though Lee voted that we should pay extra money?

I forget, who has "Taken" ready to show? (I could dig around in the
e-mail archives, but it seems easier to ask.)

Finally, when shall we show these two movies? Fourth Friday in March is
3/23. I tend to agree with C Lee that Sunday matinee would be easier, 3/25.

But, then, too, should we try to coordinate with Robert Grahams's
Fridays, and Mark Lacy's Saturdays? Sheesh, the combinations and
permutations do ramify.

Art, attempting to coordinate.

PPS: Check this out --
http://www.corrugate.org/granito_de_arena/granito_de_arena (being shown
by Houston Indymedia at Rice the night of PAA mtg)
and Land and Freedom, shown at Sedition Books shortly before the arson.
I want to watch Land and Freedom again with alla y'all around May 1.
