America has virtually limitless potential to generate
electricity from renewable energy sources such as wind and solar
power. In fact, the winds that blow over America's Great Plains
could provide enough power for the entire country.

Renewable energy champions Rep. Tom Udall (D-NM) and Rep. Todd
Platts (R-PA) have introduced legislation to require that
utilities generate 20% of America's electricity from renewable
energy sources, including wind, solar, geothermal, ocean and
biomass power, by 2020. 

By tapping into this renewable energy potential, we can cut
global warming pollution, create jobs, save consumers money, and
increase our energy independence.
