Cyclone Sidr has left children in Bangladesh without food and shelter.
Sidr has already killed thousands. Half of the 3.2 million affected are
children, an estimated 400,000 of them under the age of five.

jIPL6NULiJ0F> As the weather turns cold, vulnerable children and women
require lifesaving assistance to survive.
Speaking from Dhaka, UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh Louis-Georges
Arsenault said:
"Bangladesh had to endure repeated natural disasters this year. The people
here are highly resilient but it has been a hard year for them. As the
estimated deaths caused by the cyclone is rising by the hour, many children
are finding themselves in difficult circumstances without food, shelter and
safety-they have suffered loss or separation from their parents.
"UNICEF is on the ground helping the affected population with water, dry
food and essential items to help them put their life back together.
"I urge the international community to keep Bangladesh high on its priority
as the rehabilitation following the devastating cyclone is going to need as
much support as possible."

jIPL6NULiJ0F> Your donation will help UNICEF provide 7.2 million water
purification tablets, high-protein biscuits, hand pump repair kits and water
tanks-all critical for child survival in the days and weeks after a
disaster.
Thank you for your commitment to the world's children and for letting us
call upon you in emergencies that require additional support. We are
grateful for your dedication to this mission.
