Here is the wording I used in changing their preformatted letter:

  Dear President Russo,

I understand the decision that Mrs. Fields has made to ban the use of the term "Christmas" from your products. One of your customer service supervisors said you did so because you did not want to offend anyone.

Personally, I have no problem with the use of the word Christmas at that time of year, particularly since it fits in with my historical understanding of the foundation of the holiday as a national holiday.

However, I also understand that other people celebrate other religious and spiritual traditions at that time of year.

I hope that next year you will not succumb to presure from the Christian community to change your position on this matter.

Now, the question I have is whether or not changed letters actually go through....
  :-)

They are starting it already! Once again, I changed the text and sent. Guess they haven't caught on to me yet.

Mrs. Fields bans Christmas from their products

          Dear Kathryn,

Mrs. Fields has become the first company to ban Christmas from their products and promotion for this year.

When Diane H. of Michigan called Mrs. Fields and asked to speak with a supervisor in customer service about why they banned Christmas, the supervisor told Diane that they do not offer anything with Merry Christmas because they don't want to offend anyone.

Take a look at Mrs. Fields Holiday Gift Preview by clicking here. In the "search" bar, type in the word "Christmas." But don't expect to find any reference to Christmas. (If you do, it has been added since this letter was written.)

Mrs. Fields wants the business of Christians who celebrate Christmas, but they don’t mind if they offend Christians.

Good News! Your action helped cause the Architect of the Capitol to allow religious wording.
Because of the action of AFA ActionAlert supporters, Architect of the Capitol has reversed his decision to ban “God” and will now allow religious wording on certificates of flags which have flown over the Capitol. Click here for more information.
