Monsanto also benefited from NAFTA when it sued the state of California for obstructing trade by outlawing a carcinogenic gasoline additive made by Monsanto. Monsanto won in the NAFTA court and California had to repeal its law, because it chose not to pay billions in fines. GMOs and NAFTA--both give inordinate power to corporations and both are addressed in legislation authored by Kucinich. Nobody has his commitment or comprehension of the issues that affect us.

Please read the 22 page analysis at the link I have provided below. The article was a study on Genetically Modified (GM) crops by Friends of the Earth. I would appreciate responses to this article once folks have had a chance to read it in its entirety. I believe this issue of GM crops is an extremely important one and one that everyone should be aware of due to the ecological, economic, and health related effects of planting GM crops and ingesting genetically modified foodstuffs. Thanks!

I have just spent the last several minutes reading the 22 pages at the link above discussing GM crops and who really benefits from them. The article is extraordinarily well researched and thought provoking. I think you will see after reading ALL the pages that GM crops offer absolutely NO BENEFIT to anyone other than Monsanto Corporation.
 
Read all the pages of the article at the above link and feel free to respond.
 
Side note: I am going to post this link to the PAA discussion list, as well. I believe people need to be educated about the realities of GM crops.
