It seems people need a scapegoat or a bad guy to blame for what ails them.
They need to realize it's the criminals at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and the
wealthy elite who are screwing them to the wall. The religiously insane
think gays and atheists are causing all of our problems. Middle class white
men and women blame "illegal" immigrants for the loss of jobs. I wish people
would realize who the real enemy is. The problem is that most Americans are
not familiar with history, so history continues to repeat itself with regard
to U.S. imperialism. They continue to vote for the status quo when the
status quo doesn't represent them and isn't working for them and NEVER has.

Certainly didn't mean to imply you or anyone was being elitist, if that's
how you took it.  Just trying to respond based on my perception of how the
"truckers' were being protrayed -as that they were all Bush supporters, war
supporters, etc.  When nowadays most people aren't either.  And
unfortunately, it seems most people are down on folks percieved as unlawful
immigrants, etc. - I have personally encountered so much vitriol on that
subject from people - from a wide range of socio-economic strata - who I
really think are mad about something else that it is horrifying.
