SYNOPSIS
Within hours of arrival in the Gaza Strip, reporter Sandra Jordan and Rodrigo Vasquez are shot at and tear-gassed by Israeli troops breaking up a memorial service for Rachel Corrie, an American peace activist crushed by an Israeli bulldozer two days before.
In a 5 week stay, Jordan and Vasquez document the shooting by Israeli troops of the British peace campaigner Tom Hurndall, the death of James Miller, an award-winning cameraman killed as he filmed Israeli troops bulldozing Palestinian homes, and the deaths and mutilation of many innocent Palestinians.
They film the aftermath of an Israeli missile attack on a leader of the Hamas group. Children playing in the street nearby are killed and have limbs bllown off.
Jordan's team encounters sniper fire from Israeli watchtowers, and endures tank shelling alongside a class of terrified school children.
There are a couple of graphic scenes. Viewer discretion advised.
By all accounts the situation in the Gaza Strip has worsened since Rachel Corries death in 2003. In March of this year four Israelis and over100 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed following Israels brief invasion of the Strip.
