Mr. Steve Jetton
Reader Representative
The Houston Chronicle
Dear Mr. Jetton:
On Monday evening (6/9/08) Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio)
introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President George W Bush on the floor of
the U.S. House of Representatives, which included a list of illegal and
improper acts committed by Bush, including war crimes. There has been widespread
discussion of this on the Internet but little or none in the mainstream media.
One example of the Internet coverage may be found at the link below,
including a brief description of each of the 35 articles.
I have carefully reviewed yesterday's and today's Chronicles, but see no
mention of this important historic action by Congressman Kucinich. According to
most polls Bush is the most unpopular president in modern history, and for
good reason. I have no doubt that most Americans would like to see him
impeached, but of course it is extremely unlikely that our craven Congress will
actually do that.
Still, I think it is very important for the American people to be aware that
at least one Congressman had the integrity to put all of Bush's crimes on
the public record. I hope that the major media (such as the Chronicle) will not
totally suppress this story. I look forward to your response. Thank you.
