Survey Results are now in, on the HealthCare Industry Survey.
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=_2bb797DMRU5aAFi3GMsD_2fgQ_3d_3d

Around 20% of you admitted that you profit from the Healthcare Industry.

I doubt the figure is this low, however, due to terms such as "covered" and "insured" found salted all over rules, and ALL of HIPPA, as well as lobbying efforts concerning healthcare reform.  Most people likely do not realize they benefit if they derive income from insurance companies.

98% of you are involved in legislative activity concerning the healthcare industry.

In response to the question, "What are the key issues, regarding healthcare?  (check all that apply)"  you answered, in the following order:
That Patients benefit   86%
That everyone gets treatment   71%
In a 5-way tie for 3rd place came:
That the industry gets tightly regulated, That the industry regulations actually get followed even if they are slack, That the flow of money in the healthcare industry be definable down to the penny, That payment is based upon performance as determined by the Patient, and that everyone gets coverage.
In a 3-way tie for 5th place came:
That doctors benefit, that hospitals benefit, and Other.
Comments under "Other" included:
Coverage should not be confused with Care.
Paperwork is atrocious.   Emphasizing *prevention* and proper diet & nutrition is a sadly-neglected topic that almost never gets airplay. Anywhere.
And of course, the favorite single-payer universal mantra currently popular among pro-big-government and big insurance company lobbyists.

No one voted for:
That insurance companies, government agencies, or pharmaceutical manufacturers benefit.

So people are not seeing that the last 2 are in conflict.  That  single-payer universal "care"  is merely code for giant subsidies to Big insurance companies, government agencies, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.
