If  you've been watching the news, you've heard a lot about how Sen. Max 
Baucus's  health care bill compares to other proposals. Just how different is 
it? How  much did it keep and how much did it cut? Will it do anything at 
all to  improve health care in this country?

One thing we do know is that  the more people understand what's actually in 
the health care reform bills in  Congress, the more they like them, so

The next two weeks are a critical period for reform.  Just yesterday, Sen. 
Baucus and his colleagues on the Senate Finance Committee  began debating 
and amending his bill. The committee members will work through  more than 500 
proposed changes to the bill.

To keep cutting through the  chatter on cable, in the coming weeks, we'll 
be sharing special video updates  from our eyes and ears on Capitol Hill -- 
USPIRG Health Care Advocate Larry  McNeely -- and other U.S. PIRG staff. Stay
