dear Massoud and PAA/Green Friends

Cynthia will be very busy during her time here .
Don and his team are working diligently to maximize her
 effectiveness on this visit .

Your vision here is wonderful Massoud
...... on Afghanistan and have Cynthia open up a discussion
on this issue allowing ample time for the audience to participate
in an open forum and express their views. This event would be a 3 hour (or
more) event and the aim is First to understand
the Afghanistan reality and Second to assist anti war
activists in finding the best way to inform others about this
murderous war against innocent Afghan families today and promote
peace and prosperity for all.

I hope PAA is in the position to organize this
important event.
I know the PAA will try to do everything we can to support this or a very
related event.  Its not a guarantee , but at the end of the day , we will do the
very best we can .

Thank you immensely !
Bart

Dear Bart and all,

Just a few hours ago Don Cook called me regarding
an event with Cynthia McKinney in Houston. I told him the best idea in my
opinion would be a debate on the Foreign policy of the
current administration with those who think President Obama is on the
right track in regard to Afghanistan and the middle East in
general. Now I think the most educational event would be screening of the
new documentary on Afghanistan and have Cynthia open up a discussion
on this issue allowing ample time for the audience to participate
in an open forum and express their views.

Massoud

                Hi
                everyone,

                Yesterday, I took
a tour of the prospective property for THE CANVAS (the
                multi-arts venue that I'm establishing).
It's in the Heights, near Shepherd and W
                11th.

                It's absolutely
WONDERFUL. It's cheap and it's very roomy, too (a whopping 2400
                square feet).
It has a kitchen and two restrooms,
                too!

                My dad and I
are going to submit the lease application this evening to our
                realtor.

                Best of all,
the property has a room that's PERFECTLY SUITED for a
mini-theater that we can use for film
                screenings!

                I
propose that the PAA show Robert Greenwald's latest documentary
at THE CANVAS later this month.
                We can talk
more about this at the PAA meeting this Thursday.

                How does that
                sound to y'all?
                I think
that would be a SPLENDID thing to do!

                Yours
                Truly,
                Ivan
                Espinosa

                  I
will order it now if there is enough interest in screening
……….I heard it on DN and along with the piece of art(“Death to
Usrael”) I have up at the Art Car Museum I would very much
                  like to show it there.

You may have heard about this on
Democracy Now (on Friday) - Robert Greenwald's latest
documentary, on Afghanistan .  If you missed that story
and movie excerpt, read on and check the links below to see
the trailer (or even the whole movie).

Should PAA host a showing of
this?  Looks good to me but I'd like to hear from the
rest of you.  Has anyone ordered the DVD yet (or planning
                  to do so)?

Wednesday will mark the 8-year
anniversary of the initiation of the war in Afghanistan .
Eight long years, and what progress has been made? The
country remains in chaos, civilian deaths have risen along
with troop levels, the financial cost of the war is
skyrocketing when our economy can least afford it, and the
Al-Qaeda leadership is nowhere to be found.

All over
the country, activists are educating their friends and
neighbors about this misguided war by hosting hundreds of
                    house party screenings of 'Rethink
                    Afghanistan.'

There's a screening near you. Enter
your zip code, and sign up to attend!

If you can't
make a house party screening, contribute to Brave New
Foundation so we can continue our campaign, and receive
a DVD as a thank you gift.

Then sign our petition for
Congressional hearings on non-military solutions for
                    Afghanistan .
