Yes, Randy, MoveOn is a sack of shit. I unsubscribed from their e-mail lists long ago. We don't have a health care industry in the United States. We have, as Dr. Andrew Weil states correctly, a system of disease management that KEEPS people unhealthy and diseased because it is PROFITABLE to the max for the "health" insurance industry, the hospitals, HMOs, PPOs, Big Pharma, doctors etc. The so called "public option" is just code for the insurance industry to make out like bandits one way or the other namely by FORCING people to obtain substandard insurance coverage and if they don't they get fined. Shit, if the people who aren't already covered under some sort of health insurance policy could afford to purchase one they would have already. The Obama administration and the Congress are so goddamned short sighted and dumb or maybe they are just evil incarnate. I think they are both. The people who cannot afford health insurance premiums sure as hell can't afford to pay a fucking fine for not having health insurance!! Hell, the insurance industry is part owner of the U.S. government, so no matter which way this legislation goes, they are going to come out ahead. THE U.S. GOVERNMENT IS OWNED LOCK, STOCK AND BARREL BY GLOBAL CORPORATE THUGS AND BANKSTERS!! Never, ever forget that.
We, the people, are not going to get Medicare for all or any other thing that is remotely humane because the U.S. government is a criminal organization with ties to global gangsters. Don't think for a single solitary minute that the wealthy sociopaths who pull the strings of the puppets who currently hold seats of power in government have any loyalty whatsoever to the United States of America. Neither do the puppets. None of them have any loyalty to anyone or anything except themselves. They are selfish sacks of shit concerned only with their own self interests. They are global gangsters and murderers. They have one agenda and one agenda only:
TO ENRICH THEMSELVES AT THE EXPENSE OF THE WHOLE FUCKING PLANET!
We, the people, have no representation whatsoever. Capitalism is inherently evil. We have no functioning egalitarian economic, social or political system. We are fucked beyond all recognition.
Those of us who are sick and tired of living under this evil system need to get together and figure out how to forge a new way of living that is not dependent at all on capitalism which leads to war mongering, stealing from others, murdering, pillaging, raping...............basically barbarism. Are we barbarians? Are human beings genetically coded to be barbarous bastards? If so then Homo sapiens sapiens needs to go extinct forthwith because human beings are a threat to every other living thing on this planet.
Is it even possible to create an egalitarian society or are we all so tied in to our selfish consumerist culture that we are completely incapable of even imagining a world where we don't have to lie, cheat, steal, rape, pillage and kill for what we need?
Frankly, I'm doubtful that humanity has what it takes to think up, much less achieve, such a society.
Kris

Subject: Re: [PAA-Discuss] The public option
Has anyone ever learned whether this so-called "public option" is actually
anything like "universal single payer" or are they just using that phrase
to buy Democratic votes?
I've never seen or heard any actual details about what's in the bill that
justifies the phrase "public option".
I DO understand there is some stupid stuff in there that no humanitarian
democracy would ever include, such as the "individual mandate" which makes
you pay a fine if you can't afford insurance premiums.
For some reason the talking heads on TV aren't discussing factual details,
I don't understand why.
If it ain't universal single payer (Medicare for all) then it's not worth
voting for...unless your agenda is to sabotage the health care industry,
loot the treasury and give the money to the insurance industry & blame it
on the Dem Party...or blame it on a black socialist president.
Does anyone else get the impression that MoveOn has been bought by the
corporate elitists?
