Hello  my veggie friends,

My friend, neighbor, and fellow progressive activist  DON COOK is running 
for the Houston City Council At-Large Position 1. Early  voting has already 
begun. If you live in the City of Houston, then you can  vote for DON COOK. 
Even if you don't, I encourage you to tell your friends  that live in the 
city to vote for Don.

DON IS ONE OF US. He's been a  vegetarian for many, many years and is 
currently in the transition to a full,  vegan diet for health, ethical, and 
environmental reasons. He's an ardent  supporter of local, organic, "veganic" 
farming and has worked as a tireless  environmental activist for countless 
years.

Don has been active in the  peace movement for several decades. He's an 
active member of several peace  groups in Houston, including the Houston Peace 
and Justice Center, the Sierra  Club, Intergalactic Artists for Peace, and 
the Texas Coalition to Abolish the  Death Penalty. He's also served as 
treasurer of the Progressive Action  Alliance (PAA) since 2004. As many of y'all 
may know, the PAA is a group  founded and led by FELLOW VEGAN Bill Crosier.


Don is a great person and a good  friend and for those of you in animal 
rescue he believes in a no kill shelter  for the city of Houston
