Big insurance just keeps making us sicker.

(http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=CTh6Ka2rm33WnT/j3ffRiuQk62ly4BE7) Tell your Rep. to demand a vote on single-payer!
Our private-health-insurance-industry-dominated system permits 45 million
people to live without health insurance, denying them access to
preventative and routine care, resulting in the death of at least 35,000 people a
year. Nothing in the health care reform bill before the House of
Representatives will end the domination of the insurance industry and the profiteering
in health care. But there is a proposal that would truly provide health care
for all - a single-payer bill.

Will House leadership allow a vote on the single-payer bill? Call now and
tell your representative that you support health care for all, and that
the single-payer bill must be on the table!

Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) wants to offer an amendment based on H.R.
676, originally introduced by Rep. Conyers (D-Mich.), that would transform the
inadequate House health care package into a health-care-for-all,
single-payer plan that would cover everyone. Right now, House leadership is deciding
which amendments will be allowed a vote, and it's possible single-payer
could be shut out - again.

Call your representative now by dialing the Capitol switchboard at (202)
224-3121 and demand a vote on the Weiner Amendment on single-payer! The vote
could be as early as Monday, so please call today!

There has never been a vote in the full House or Senate on a single-payer
system, largely due to the stranglehold the health care industry has on
our elected officials. The health care industry is spending $1.4 million a
day lobbying Congress, not to mention the millions it spends in campaign
contributions. It's time to allow a vote for the people on health care for all.

Call (202) 224-3121 and tell your representative to demand a vote on Rep.
Weiner's single-payer amendment and then to vote YES!

Thank you for all you do!
