I feel I should point out so that everyone will know who doesn't already that the Green Party of Texas is once again practically forced by the State of Texas to take an anti-democracy stand with respect to the primaries.  We lobby the Texas Legislature about this every time it is in session, to no avail so far, but it bears mentioning since the GPTX is once again going for ballot access.  We would never tell anyone not to vote in an electiion, but those who do cannot validly sign the ballot access petition which we will be circulating.  And we have to ask you not to sign it even as a gesture of unity because we will be concurrently validating signatures with the state data bases, and it takes as much time to invalidate a signature as it does to validate it.

 

We look forward to the day when we to can vote in primaries.  We think we should be able to know, and we would be able to in amore perfect democracy.
