[PAA-Discuss] while I got into some kind of argument, I might have said some things I regret

I actually know the definition of socialism and fascism, Melinda, but
thanks. I really was just interested in knowing why Laura felt that way
about socialism.

In all fairness, it is anybody's right to agree or disagree with Socialism
but as you are
correctly pointing out Kris, Socialism is NOT a Nazi belief. If anything,
they were some
of the first victims of Nazis who hated Russians historically and accused
Communists
along with Jewish people for their economic decline and post WWI
conditions. Perhaps part of the confusion lies in the fact that Nazis
identified themselves as being The National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Here is a definition of Socialism
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

and here is one of Fascism....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

I hope it helps.

Why do you disagree with socialism, Laura? Why do you think some socialists
are Nazis? I have no idea what discussion you were having on what list, but
I am curious about your socioeconomic ideology. Care to enlighten me?

Kris

I was on some other email list that I won't mention. While on that
list, some people were a little narrow-minded, and I said some things
that are hurtful. While I would disagree with such
narrowmindedness(maybe what I posted wasn't totally off-topic), I
shouldn't have insulted everyone who is more socialistic than I am.
While some socialists can be authoritarian, and I disagree with
socialism in general, not all socialists are Nazis.
