If you live in the city of Houston, PLEASE remember to vote Saturday,
if you have not already. It's important, and it DOES matter.
Your vote is worth at least three times as much as in last month's
general election, possibly four to five times as much, because so few
people vote in these runoff elections. Early voting was very light.
Your vote can make the difference in this important runoff election.
Everyone in the city can vote for Jolanda Jones and Kristi Thibaut
(both at large positions), and I encourage you to call a friend and
get them out to vote for these fine people, too. They support the
99% of us and their opponents are backed primarily by big business
interests, so you know who they'll work for.
It's likely to be close for both Jolanda and Kristi, and whichever
candidate turns out their supporters more is going to win.
If you live in Disctrict A, I suggest you vote for Brenda Stardig.
I don't have an endorsement in Dist. B.
See the endorsements below from Garnet Coleman -- probably the most
progressive member of the Texas legislature. He supports the same
people as I indicated above.

>Tomorrow is a very important day for Houston, as there are two
>separate runoff elections for at-large city council seats. Please
>remember to vote. I strongly encourage you to support incumbent
>Jolanda Jones for the At-Large Position 5 race and former State
>Representative Kristi Thibaut for the At-Large Position 2 race.
>Since these are "at-large" seats, everyone registered to vote in the
>city of Houston may vote for both of these candidates.

>Also, if you live in City Council District A, which encompasses much
>of the area just north of I-10 from the Heights and stretching
>toward Katy/Fort Bend, I encourage you to re-elect Brenda Stardig.
