    Greetings all,
Come on now you Progressives. Nick and his group would be very happy if we get at least 300 signatures. Wake up, go to www.kmaw.net/bds and read the petition and sign if you agree. KPFT, the voice of peace, justice, truth and a champion for the least, the last and the lost will surely go on record and adopt this petition. The Palestinians have suffered far too long under Israel's brutal illegal occupation.

Bless you and thanks a bunch,
Bob

we are trying to amass signatures to influence the LSB to pass a BDS
resolution

There are three crucial reasons why we as Americans must use campaigns like
BDS to put pressure on Israel. 1) It is our money and our government
shielding the Israeli apartheid regime.  2) Israel cares so much what
Americans think that they spend significant resources on PR that dwarf any
budget peace activists have.  And 3) Israel is the only side of the conflict
that has the ability to change the material conditions of how the states and
the settlements function.

We do not get a voice in Israel's military policies.  We are not invited to
debate about where Israel will draw the lines for its illegal wall.  We
don't get to vote on whether white phosphorus munitions should be used in
civilian areas.  We are not invited and have no voice there.  But here at
Radio for Peace, all we can do is choose to undertake a non-violent campaign
requested of us by people who are suffering today in Palestine.

Israel is not listening to the concerns, needs, and just demands of
Palestinians.  Upholding the Pacifica Mission to contribute to a lasting
understanding between nations and between the individuals of all nations
does not always equate to allowing every group to have their own show.  This
was proven because no new lasting understanding could ever come from Israeli
Consulate shows about tourism to Israel.
In fact, it did the opposite, alienating further people on all sides of the
issue.  However, if we have any capacity to pressure Israel to really listen
to Palestinians, then we will have contributed to the first step towards
understanding.

Nick
