And a good two cents it is, Bob. Thanks. Oh yeah, we need to stop giving the
shitty terrorist "state" of Israel $3B a year of OUR money so they can make
WMD and continue to terrorize Palestinians and anybody else they feel like
terrorizing.

Kris,

Most likely the majority of Americans have this fear of our enemy, this
elusive, overblown, or non-existence terrorism generated, by design, by our
government and media to justify our enormous military-industrial complex. We
must have an "enemy."

Having over 600 military bases in over 130 countries fits very well
with the average American's tough-guy image. This gives these insecure
individuals the feeling of dominance and superiority that they will not give
up very easily, if ever.

Most members of congress know how the general public feels about this
and they feel the same way themselves, so none of reps. except Bernie
Sanders, Dennis Kucinich, Barbara Lee and a few others will even mention
cutting the military budget.

So the gullible Americans with the cave-man mentality must share most
of the blame for our towering national debt.

Having our military in over 130 countries is absurd and for what? It's
a no-brainer. Cut the military spending at least by one-half.

My two cents,

Bob

Ah, yes, raise the old debt ceiling again. That's the answer to all the
economic problems of this nation. No mention, of course, of closing every
single overseas military base, bringing all soldiers home from Iraq and
Afghanistan and cutting the "defense" budget by at least half preferably by
2/3rds. Oh, no! That would be taboo to talk about those things much less
implement them. When in doubt, just raise the nation's debt ceiling. We are
buried in debt and so are future generations for eternity. We will never
claw our way out of this unless we get rid of vampire capitalism,
militarism, imperialism and the sociopaths that are taking the entire world
straight to ruin.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he's canceling July 4 recess for
Senate to deal with the debt ceiling crisis.

Lawmakers must raise the nation's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling by Aug. 2.
Otherwise, the Treasury will run out of money to pay the nation's bills in
full and on time.

Republicans have demanded that any deal to raise the debt ceiling include
deep spending cuts, but they have been reluctant to consider measures
favored by Democrats that would increase revenue.
