Ron and I are just sick at heart about this news, Don. We thought the world
of Charlie. This year has been pure hell with so many of our friends passing
away. I guess I should say thanks for letting us know about this sad news,
but I just wish you didn't have to do it. Charlie was a fine man, and he
will be sorely missed. I really enjoyed working with him when he and I
worked on the Fair Elections campaign. He was a gentleman through and
through and a lot of fun to work with and talk to.

Subject: Another old warrior gone FW: Memorial Service for Charles Mauch
Word was just received that Charles...Charlie died yesterday morning.
In 2000, Charles Mauch, running for Texas Railroad Commissioner, was one of
the three Green Party candidates for state-wide office who, along with Gary
Dugger and the late Ben Levy, retained ballot access till 2002 for the party
by obtaining over five percent of the vote in their respective races. In
recent years Charlie, a retired petroleum engineer, continued active with
environmental, social justice, peace, and especially democracy issues as he
worked for campaign finance reform.
He is greatly missed.
If you should wish to contact Ms. Vinson, who provided details about the
memorial service, below, please call me at 713-705-5594.

The service will be at 1:00 on this Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home 7723
Beechnut. This is on the east side of the Southwest Freeway, sort of across
the street from the Southwest Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Thanks - Judy Vinson
