I used to have a stack of response letters from this evil old bitch. My too-crude name for her involves replacing the H with a K and placing an 'n' somewhere in Hutchison.
But anyway, all of her responses are the same:
So happy you contacted me.
Fuck you.
You don't amount to shit.
I'll explain it since you are an idiot.
Please be assured that you will be in my thoughts when I shit on you.
Please contact me again--any time you need to be shat upon.
And our other senator doesn't even acknowledge our existence. Somehow that seems more polite, at least.

Genetic engineering has helped to meet growing global food needs and avert food shortages in some regions of the world. Texas agricultural research institutions have been leaders in developing and testing GE crops, and bringing forward more effective cultivation methods.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is principally responsible for enforcing strict standards for our food. Although the FDA has found no consumer safety issues with GE foods, it is important that the FDA continues to monitor and develop new science to ensure food safety.

Due to the volume of mail Senator Hutchison receives, she requests that all email messages be sent through the contact form found on her website at http://hutchison.senate.gov/?p=email_kay .
