This past month, we shined a light on the hunger  that many Walmart 
associates face every day. We work  for the richest family in the world, but we aren
’t  paid enough to support our own families without help  from public 
assistance and food banks.  
In the lead-up to Black Friday, more than 1,400 of  us—Walmart associates 
and supporters—fasted in order  to bring this crisis to light. _A  group of 
us fasted right outside Alice Walton’s  multi-million dollar penthouse in New 
York City.  _

Our fast may be over, but we will continue to  spread our message. It’s 
shameful that Walmart  associates are going hungry this holiday season while  
the Walton family hoards more wealth than 42% of  Americans combined.
