<DIV>Just made a little swing around the neighborhood. The Krogers on Montrose
just south of Westheimer was open and parking lot was packed. Quite a few cars
across the street at Walgreens so assume it was open too. The Stop-n-Go (Diamond
Shamrock) at the corner of Westheimer and Montrose was open with only about
a dozen cars in line as of noon. The McDonalds at Westheimer and
Commonwealth was open - I saw folks going in and out. Went on down to the
Randalls at Shepherd and Westheimer - it was open too so I went in. Very picked
over of course - no milk, eggs, or bread but picked up a few items. Only about 8
or 9 in each checkout line. The Exxon and Citgo stations on that corner did
not appear to be open. There were a few cars at Exxon but sometimes one pulls in
to try it and others see him and stop in too when they are not even open. Went
by Whole Foods and saw several dozen cars on the lot but it was not open - same
thing - a few cars attract a few more etc. That's all the news from here at Lake
Woebegone.</DIV>
