The buzz is already out there--the award winning new documentary Sir! No<BR>
Sir! www.sirnosir.com is coming to the great<BR>
state of Texas. Sir! No Sir! explores the forgotten history of the inspiring<BR>
movement by GI's to end the Vietnam War. An important piece of the past,<BR>
the film looks at the civil disobedience, conscientious objectors and<BR>
underground newspapers and coffee houses where the resistance flourished.<BR>
<BR>
It is also points towards the present and the future, and will help to raise<BR>
awareness about burgeoning movements of today--current resistance to the<BR>
Iraq War by active duty military, as well as the efforts by students,<BR>
teachers and parents to get military recruiters off school campuses and stop<BR>
the 'poverty draft' of today.<BR>
<BR>
The film opens May 19th in Austin and later in Houston on May 26th and San<BR>
Antonio in June 2nd. I am working as an outreach coordinator on the film,<BR>
which as you may have heard recently got 'Two Thumbs Up' by Ebert and<BR>
Roeper. Our goal is to learn more about your organization's objectives for<BR>
the year and support you in using the film as a tool to get your goals<BR>

1-Table-a-screening: We are looking for groups to take on a screening and<BR>

groups have purchased advanced blocks of tickets at a discount rate from the<BR>
theater and sold them full price to their folks as a mini-fundraiser.<BR>

2-Screen the 12 minute trailer and host a discussion with the film's<BR>
director or producer at your organization, home or church. Let's plug into<BR>
events already on your calendar!<BR>
The DVD release is happening in July so stay tuned for house party<BR>
opportunities later this summer!<BR>
