<STRONG>Now, this week the full Texas Senate will be voting on a good
bill</STRONG> (SB 288) that will require your local hospital to report
their infection rates! </P>

will give hospitals a strong incentive to reduce hospital-acquired

<P>One in 20 patients contracts a hospital-acquired infection while
being treated in the hospital for something else. You have a right to
know whether your hospital is doing a good job preventing
hospital-acquired infections. SB 288 requires hospitals to report their
infection rates to the public. </P>
