concept!). I think this will give Obama perfect cover to change his

what he wants to do anyway. He has many other goals and financial priorities
rather than fighting wars. </div>

<div>Obama is our best hope at this point - clearly not perfect but very calm
and intelligent, and right on most of the issues. We all know our
"democracy" is broken and we need to work to fix it, but as I have said
before, a vote for a 3rd party or not voting at all amounts to a vote for McCain
and his incredible running mate - a thought so shocking that I can't
imagine anyone even considering it. Even if a 3rd party candidate were elected
(a vanishingly remote possibility) they could not do anything since they would
have no party backing in congress. </div>

<div>Reform is a long tedious process beginning with access to the debates,
ballot access, campaign finance reform, running for office locally, and
other basic grassroots reforms from the bottom up, not running a tiring,
expensive, and hopeless campaign for president. Clearly many of you on
this list do not agree and have expressed your anger and frustration many times,
as I have. Ain't democracy and free speech grand? As the old saying goes - God
bless the United States of America!</div>
