On January 1st, Mr. Geoff Berg, who was substituting Leo
Gold, hosted the New Capital show. Mr. Geoff had invited the Israeli
General Council to defend the Israeli's bombardment in Gaza. This invitation was
on the same day that Israeli aircrafts fired heavy missiles at the refugee camp,
causing massive destruction in the camp and killing 16 of its residents, 11 of
whom were children.

I don't know how much Leo Gold was involved in planning to
dedicate his show to the war on Gaza and give the aggressor the opportunity to
justify their brutal action. He was on vacation and didn't call the show either
to let us know what he was thinking about the show. But certainly Mr. Berg was
very prepared and was very excited to give KPFT airwaves to the to
Israeli propaganda machine. He was successful in misinforming the KPFT
listeners.

My aim in this letter is not to explain the reality on the
ground in Palestine or the Gaza Strip. I would simply like to ask the
KPFT family, what is our expectation from this radio station? Do we still
think that KPFT is the voice of voiceless? Do we still believe that as the
"Radio for Peace", we don't promote or justify wars in any
form or shape? Is this "freedom of speech" to give the Israelis Consulate
ample time on KPFT while they already have FOX, CNN and other major media to
misinform the American people on daily basis?

Is KPFT a "liberal" or "progressive" radio in time of war
and peace?
