<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left>Ten years ago, I subscribed to several home and architectural magazines as I was renovating my 1930s house. I had no experience to undertake such a project.</div>
<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left>One of the magazines I subscribed to was <EM>House and Garden</EM>.</div>
<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left>A year later when my project was nearly done, I did not renew any of these subscriptions except for <EM>House and Garden</EM>. The reason was that I loved the monthly column by editor-in-chief Dominique Browning.</div>
<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left>Dominique is a wonderful writer, award-winning editor, master gardener and environmentalist. Whatever her subject, her thoughts are incisive, her opinions are strong and her writing is stirring.</div>
<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left><A title="Personal Nature" href="http://support.edf.org/site/R?i=6jQf0ckiaqL6pEx7-dP5Zw.." target=_blank><STRONG>Thus, it is with genuine pleasure that I introduce a new EDF monthly online column written by Dominique called <EM>Personal Nature</EM></STRONG></A>.</div>

<div style="MARGIN-TOP: 12px; MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12px" align=left>We talked a great deal about the work of EDF. She pummeled me with questions but I asked her one back which was: Would you be interested in writing a column about our work seen through your personal perspective?</div>
