July 15 at 6:00 PM there will be a potluck dinner for the families and
supporters of the Houston Peace Camp. The venue is the beautiful
Cameron Retreat Center, 2403 Holcombe Blvd. This will be a time when
those who want to educate youth about peace and justice can meet and
discuss stategies and ways that we can publicize our work
with young people. We need everyone's ideas,
energy and time to continue this effort. We lost a huge champion
of children's rights this year, Awanda Whitworth ,who was our
treasurer and registrar. No one can take her place, but we need
additional participation if we are to make progress. Our country
is involved in two active wars and other issues of immigration,
racism, and crime and if we do not take the time to educate our youth,
there will not be any changes. Please join us for this evening
of discussion and fellowship. If you are unable to attend, but
would like to be involved in this ongoing work, please contact Judy
