Hightower -Sat</title></head><body>
<div>I hope to see many of you at the annual HPJC fundraising dinner
on Nov. 12. This year, the national peacemaker awardee and
keynote speaker is Jim Hightower. Local peacemakers to be
recognized are civil rights icon Johnny Mata, The Center for the
Healing of Racism, and Food Not Bombs.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>See below, and details at http://hpjc.org You can also
reserve a seat an make a secure online donation there for the dinner.
If you can't do that, call me or Cheryl at 713-641-4941.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Please register today (or at least by this weekend) if you have
not already done so. You can pick a vegan meal if you prefer.
The seats are disappearing, and we have to let the hotel know early
next week how many people to plan for.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Although it's a fundraiser, there are some sponsored seats
available that major donors have paid for, and you can ask for them if
you can't afford to come. Of course, it's best to make some sort
of donation, to at least cover the cost of the meal and other expenses
at the hotel.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Organizational members of HPJC can also table at the dinner, too,
for distributing literature, etc. PAA is a member of HPJC, and
we can have a table if someone wants/needs that and can help set it
up. But we need to make plans/reserve space for that in advance,
too.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Thanks, and I'm looking forward to seeing you!</div>
