Event Description:
Come to the February monthly meeting of the Progressive Action Alliance (a week later than usual). This month, we're continuing our discussion about priorities and strategizing for the future. We're inviting representatives from other progressive organizations to come and help us plan events that will help us all network with each other and develop a more effective force for change. Come early (about 6:45PM) to visit; meeting is from 7-9 p.m. Bring something non-messy to eat or drink and share if you wish. Students for a Democratic Society at UH is sponsoring a protest at the T. Don Hutto immigrant detention center in Taylor, TX. This particular facility detains children, which is morally reprehensible. As a part of the 100 actions in 100 days to end family detention, we are calling on people and organizations from throughout Texas to join us on March 7th in Taylor Texas at 11am at the T. Don Hutto Residential Facility.
