Event Description:

Students for a Democratic Society at UH is sponsoring a protest at the T. Don Hutto immigrant detention center in Taylor, TX. This particular facility detains children, which is morally reprehensible. As a part of the 100 actions in 100 days to end family detention, we are calling on people and organizations from throughout Texas to join us on March 7th in Taylor Texas at 11am at the T. Don Hutto Residential Facility.

SDS in Houston will be leaving from the University of Houston campus at 7:30 am to caravan to Taylor. If you would like a space in one of our vans (we are also asking for a deposit for the rental), or to carpool with us, please write us an email escramble('SDSUHtx','');

If you would like to attend, we will be leaving from the parking lot across the Gym (exit Spur 5 off of I-45 South and make a right onto university blvd, huge parking lot on right) at 7:30 am. We will be eating lunch in Taylor, TX and will be back around 6 pm.
