        Dear Kathryn,

In February we asked you to support a strong hospital infection
bill. Now, this week the full Texas Senate will be voting on a good bill (SB
288) that will require your local hospital to report their infection rates!

        We need your help today!

Please send a message to urge your senator support SB 288, a bill
that will give hospitals a strong incentive to reduce hospital-acquired
infections.

One in 20 patients contracts a hospital-acquired infection while
being treated in the hospital for something else. You have a right to know
whether your hospital is doing a good job preventing hospital-acquired
infections. SB 288 requires hospitals to report their infection rates to the
public.

Please send a message today and ask your senator to vote for SB 288.

Finally, please forward this email to your friends and family in
Texas so they can also send a message.

        Thank you,
        Lisa McGiffert
