Subject: [PAA-Discuss] Call in to Dewayne Lark's radio show on KCOH this morning to tell Farouk Shami to drop out of the primary and join the Greens



Dewayne Lark has purchased time on radio statioon KCOH this morning, Monday, 2-22-10, I believer from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., to promote Farouk Shami's gubernatorial campaign.  I have talked with Dewayne about the possibility of Farouk dropping out of the primary race to circumvent Texas' "spoiler law" (which says that if you loose a primary you cannot subsequently run for that office in that election year as an independent or for another party), so he can work with the Green Party of Texas this election year.  Dewayne, who has Farouk's ear, is trying to persuade Farouk that this is a good idea, and he believes that if people call in to the show and say this on the air, Farouk might be persuaded to do it.
 
I don't have the call-in number right now, and I cannot call in because I will be not on but in the air, flying to Arizona this morning.  But I urge you to call in to Dewayne's show and talk about how Farouk can better introduce himself to Texas voters and express his progressive ideas if he has eight more months to campaign.
