> In 2000, Charles Mauch, running for Texas Railroad Commissioner, was one of the three Green Party candidates for state-wide office who, along with Gary Dugger and the late Ben Levy, retained ballot access till 2002 for the party by obtaining over five percent of the vote in their respective races. In recent years Charlie, a retired petroleum engineer, continued active with environmental, social justice, peace, and especially democracy issues as he worked for campaign finance reform.
