Marijuana Policy Project & Houston NORML Meeting

Nov 15 2007 - 7:30pm
Nov 15 2007 - 9:00pm

Event Description:

For months now, the DEA has been escalating its war on medical marijuana patients and caregivers in the 12 states that allow seriously ill patients to use marijuana with a doctor’s recommendation. It is time to put a stop to the DEA’s campaign of intimidation and fear. Your members of Congress have the power to get it done.

Here is what you can do to help:

Join the Marijuana Policy Project and our host organization, Houston NORML, for a grassroots planning meeting on November 15. The meeting will take place at the West Gray Café (415 W. Gray St.) in Houston, starting at 7:30 p.m. We'll talk about how our grassroots supporters can effectively influence Congress and help pass legislation protecting medical marijuana patients from federal raids.

Only two out of the seven representatives from the Houston area have voted to end the federal raids on medical marijuana patients and providers. At the meeting, we will discuss a wide range of actions you can take to increase the pressure on the five who remain in opposition.
