5th Anniversary candlelight vigil in The Woodlands

Event Description:

The Peace and Justice Network of Montgomery County is hosting this memorial candlelight silent vigil "to remember all of those who have been harmed and their families."

Time : 6-8PM  

As of February 13, 3,959 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq and 29,133 seriously wounded, plus 307 troops from other invading nations. 546 non-Iraqi contractors and civilian workers were killed 126 journalists have died, plus killed. 126 Journalists were killed. 546 non-Iraqi contractors and civilian workers were killed. 7,875 Iraqi police and soldiers have been killed, and somewhere between 100,000 and 600,000 Iraqi civilians.

The sponsor wishes the vigil to be focused exclusively on ending the occupation and the violence, and asks that the signs people bring will simply say "peace."
