Debate Watch Party - eat, watch, throw socks, have fun!

Event Description:

Again this election year, the Progressive Action Alliance is hosting a debate watch party for the last presidential "debate"/candidate Q&A.

Our party may be a little different than others, and we hope more fun -- as we did previously, we encourage everyone to bring balled-up socks or other soft objects to throw at the screen whenever one of the candidates says something you don't like. We all enjoyed this in the past, and spontaneous, enthusiastic comments about the candidates are often uttered. Use your imagination to think of what people would say when McCain says some of his usual lines...

The televised "debate" starts at 8 PM, but we'll have refreshments starting at 7:30, along with the pre-debate coverage from Pacifica for you to listen to.

So bring something non-messy to eat or drink if you wish to share with others (not required), something to throw at the screen if you wish, and come early to visit with everyone else.

Literature for upcoming events, and your favorite candidates and organizations is welcome.

we're also planning a post-election party, so watch for that, too.
